## Overview This regional law sets out the governance of digital transformation in Tuscany and the protection of digital citizenship rights, including coordination mechanisms, data governance and cybersecurity structures. ## Applicability It applies to the Region, dependent entities, Region-controlled private-law bodies, the regional health service, and (within their organisational frameworks) local authorities and other subjects using regional digital services under convention. ## AI (Article 8) - The Region promotes AI to improve service quality. - It promotes awareness and skills, initiatives to mitigate vendor lock‑in risks, and safe/ethical AI use consistent with EU and national rules. - The Regional Executive regulates the modalities for AI adoption. ## Regulatory sandboxes (Article 25) - The law defines regulatory sandboxes for AI systems and enables the Region to implement sandboxes for AI and cybersecurity within its competences and in coordination with national authorities. - The Regional Executive must approve guidelines on principles and modalities for experiments. ## Publication The file indicates publication in the Official Bulletin of the Tuscany Region (No. 70, Part I, 18 December 2024).
